Taxation
Taxation is a FETAC/QQI level 5 certificate course designed to provide students with good basic knowledge of the Irish taxation system and practical knowledge of the working of Income Tax and VAT. Learners who successfully complete this course will have general knowledge of both administration and procedures relating to income tax. They will understand personal taxation and reliefs and be able to calculate personal income tax as well as understand the procedures involved in agreeing income tax liabilities with the Inspector of Taxes. They will also be able to make PAYE and VAT returns.

- The self-employed investment income: Interest, Irish rents and irish divided
- VAT in an irish context
- Administration of value added tax when VAT is chargeable
- VAT registration Cash Receipts Treatment of bad debts
