How do I book a Course?

Booking with NCU is very easy, you can book online or call or email us. You will always have someone to talk to if needed and ask questions. We will do everything we can to make sure you are getting the right course for you.

How many students are in a class?

Our class sizes are a maximum of 12 on computer courses and up to 14 on most soft skills courses. The only course we run that has higher seat numbers is manual handling and safe pass.

Are your courses accredited?

NCU Ltd is a registered Quality and Qualifications Ireland QQI training provider, You can view our validations here.

What is FETAC? What is QQI?

FETAC (the Further Education and Training Awards Council) was the statutory awarding body for further education and training in Ireland (now QQI). FETAC made quality assured awards that are part of the National Framework of Qualifications.


What is QQI?

If you are searching for training in Ireland you may notice the above logo appearing beside the words QQI certified or certified by QQI, but who are QQI? “On 6 November 2012, FETAC completed its amalgamation with HETAC, NQAI and IUQB and a new integrated agency, Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), was established. FETAC, HETAC and the NQAI are now dissolved. The new agency will continue to provide continuity of service as it evolves. QQI will bring any changes and updates to your attention over the coming weeks on its website www.qqi.ie” Source: ( http://www.fetac.ie/fetac/awardsinfo/awards.htm ) It’s very important to note whether the course you are taking is certified by this new awarding body and to familiarize yourself with the new QQI logo.

What are the entry requirements?

The entry requirements will vary from course to course. Some of our courses have no entry requirements. You will find all details on a particular course on its own page on this site. If for some reason the course is cancelled will I be entitled to a full refund?

Yes, of course. In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled your payment will be refunded in full.

If I decide I cannot for whatever reason begin or continue with my course will I be entitled to a refund?

No, your fee will not be refunded if it is your decision to discontinue the course. In exceptional circumstances, however, NCU Training will try in so far as possible to accommodate you on the next available course.

Will the courses always run on schedule?

Whilst we always try to ensure every course runs when it should, some of our courses are subject to numbers and the dates may be pushed back to allow further interest before running.

What do I do if I have any queries about examinations or upon completion of my examinations queries about results and certificates?

We have an Examinations Officer here at NCU Training who is available to deal with all queries relating to exams and certificates.

I am hoping to pursue a course that will further my knowledge and upon completion provide me with the skills necessary to further my career but I'm not quite sure what course would be most suitable for me?
